Do you see that? That's my wedding gown. I like mine haltered stapped. Everybody wears strapless on their big day so I gotta stay away from the norm. (Pardon its dimness, I captured it using my phone and later transferred it on my pda. That's the best and nearest I could shoot.)

Like most girls, I've had my fair share of wedding fantasy even before I met my possible groom. Everything's settled, from the flowers, guestlists, maid of honor, the dresses and gowns, reception patry, wedding songs, to the vows. I was a die hard fan of romance. I got everything all planned up in my head. Then came my first boyfriend...

I dreaded holding a comb to style my hair. I thought that he would mistake it as prettifying for him. Not even the most romantic songs dedicated to me had the effect I was hoping for. That was the time in my life where shopping seemed like a chore (and that never happened before!). All my wedding plans were ravaged. I was thinking like "maybe pambahay shorts and sira-sirang tshirt aren't bad ideas to wear to my wedding". And I was dead serious about that attire.

I never thought I would dream again. But I did, I still am dreaming. So here I am, making an entry here in this once dead blog to make sure that I would never again forget my fantasies. It should be as wonderful as I have dreamt it. Coz I now have my groom. And despite all the hulas I was told, he's the one I'm gonna marry.

See that asungot in the background. That's him. So whoever you are, you third party, you are not welcome. Not even the 3rd and 4th guy I was predicted to have. Can't imagine life with them now that I have everything planned up with him. So everything must go on according to plan. They do not have a place. They're just going to ruin it all. Stupid people.

So next on my list would be the songs we'd be using. Nothing new with this selection coz I've had this way back in highschool. I fell in love with More Than You''ll Ever Know by Michael Ruff when it was the song used in the Lois & Clark wedding commercial. It looked romantic on Lois & Clark so I thought I should get that on my list too. That was the first song in my list, by the way. That would be played when I walked down the aisle.

When we walk out of the aisle (does that still happen? I mean, after the ceremony there would be picture taking first, right so where's the part of us walking away from the altar? well, whatever's clever...), the song playing would be From This Moment On by Shania Twain. Now that would be lovely...

At the reception, music would be party music mostly. I would have everything from Pink and as per my future groom's request, there would be Bob Marley too. (disclaimer: I'm not a rocker/punk person nor a reggae one at that but a party's a party and I enjoy Pink's songs so that justifies it all.) There would be other love songs too but that's just a side trip to the mellow lane, I don't want my wedding to sound so lovey dovey.

Now off to the color themes and dresses. Originally, I planned my groom's attire to be a black americana. But I change my mind. Nothing looks so forlorn as black. So he would be wearing barong tagalog instead just like any other typical Pinoy wedding only that in this case, he would wear his armful of mountaineering bracelets just like the first time I saw him. And oh yes, the suit would be in a light pink color.

My entourage would be in... I honestly don't have a firm idea of what the color theme would be. I would have it in gold but not everyone looks good in that hue. I love the classy effect of gold on white. Although I looovvvee pink, I don't think pink being the main hue would be nice. I'm thinking of the long term effect of the pictures. Pink looks good but on aged pictures, it would look lifeless. So I would just have mine in tropical colors or colorful colors (yeah, there is such a thing) or whatever color is in that season. (BTW, it would be February coz my groom would like it to be held the same day as his birthday).

I want tulips. I know it's costly but everything looks serene and sincere with tulips. I would have them some in pink and the rest, whatever color would be appropriate. And to save for the tulip costs, I would mix them with different less expensive (but no less than glamorous) flowers.

My mom and sister and bestfriend (my maid of honor) would have their own say of their dresses. They can choose their own cut according to their preference and the color would be in contrast with the rest of the entourage so that they would stand out. And yeah, the mom of my groom would also have her own cut.

My dad and brothers would have their own nice barong suits. The ones that are stand outs yet none too weird. And max, he would be the star of the show. He would be the ring bearer and the guests greeter. He would be in every pictures. He would practically run the show.

I gotta admit I got envious of my friend's wedding reception party. They had it in the outdoors and there were this one big tree at the semi-middle so it looked so serene. And they had a band playing flutes and violins, the music was so peaceful. I want it like that except that it would not go hand in hand with my rock and reggae party music so I think I'd better stay indoors.

And aside from the usual releasing of the pigeons, we would also have butterflies. We would have butterflies flying around everywhere. Then I would be happy. :)
